About Galaxy Phone Help

What this site is

Galaxy Phone Help is a small, independent help site that explains everyday jobs on a Samsung Galaxy phone in plain, simple English. It was made for people who find phone menus confusing, who are new to smartphones, or who simply want clear steps without technical talk. Every guide on this site covers one job at a time, from the first tap to the last, in the order you would actually do it on your phone.

The site does not try to cover everything a phone can do. It focuses on the basics that matter most in daily life: making and answering calls, saving contacts, sending photos, using WhatsApp, changing text size, connecting to Wi-Fi, setting alarms, managing battery and storage, and staying safe from scam calls and messages. If a job is not a common everyday job for a beginner, it is left out on purpose. Keeping the scope narrow keeps the advice clear, and it means a reader does not have to wade through advanced features to find a simple answer.

Who this site is for

This site is mainly for older adults and complete beginners. It is also for family members, friends, carers, and neighbours who help an older person with a phone. Many readers will be using their first smartphone, or moving to a Galaxy phone after using a much simpler phone. Others may have owned a Galaxy for a while but never felt sure about the settings, and want a calm place to check one thing at a time.

The writing assumes no prior knowledge. It does not assume you know what a menu, an app, or a setting is called, and it explains the words it uses the first time they appear. Steps are short, and each step is one action. If a step needs you to look for a particular word on the screen, the guide gives you that word exactly as it usually appears. The text on this site is set large, with strong contrast, so the pages themselves are easier to read on a phone screen.

What this site covers

This site covers Samsung Galaxy phones only, and only the One UI menu system that Samsung uses on Galaxy phones. It does not cover other phone brands, tablets, laptops, or computers, and it does not cover other menu systems. Keeping the focus on Galaxy and One UI means the steps match what most readers will actually see on their screens, instead of mixing in steps for phones they do not own.

Within that scope, the site covers basic Galaxy jobs and basic safety. The guides include making text bigger, making video calls, saving contacts, sending photos, spotting scam calls and messages, blocking unknown callers, freeing up space without deleting photos, updating the phone safely, using voice typing, setting up emergency contacts, making the battery last longer, dealing with a suspicious link, turning the phone on and off, connecting to Wi-Fi, taking photos, making calls, setting alarms, using silent mode, changing the wallpaper, and checking battery and storage. The tools on the site match the same everyday needs: checking a suspicious call or message, making a strong passphrase, checking storage, previewing text size, working through a new-phone setup checklist, making an emergency contact card, and checking battery and charging.

How the steps were checked

The steps in the guides were checked against Samsung support pages in October 2026. Samsung updates its phones over time, so menu words and menu positions can change between software versions. This site was checked with One UI versions 8, 8.5, and 9 in mind, and those versions are named because readers may see any of them. No single version is presented as the only version, and no step should be read as a promise that every Galaxy phone will look exactly the same.

Menu words may also differ slightly by phone model, region, and phone carrier. A setting may be named a little differently, or sit under a slightly different heading, on one model compared with another. When a guide mentions that a word may differ, it also gives a simple fallback: open Settings, tap the search box at the top of the Settings screen, and type the name of the setting. That search is built into One UI, and it is usually the fastest way to find a setting when the menu path on your phone does not match the guide word for word. If a step still does not match your phone, check Samsung support for your exact model, or ask someone you trust to look at the screen with you.

An independent, unofficial site

Galaxy Phone Help is an independent help site. It is not affiliated with Samsung, it is not endorsed by Samsung, and it is not run by Samsung. Samsung, Galaxy, and One UI are trademarks of Samsung Electronics, and those names are used here only to describe which phones the guides apply to. There is no Samsung logo on this site, and nothing on this site should be read as an official Samsung statement. For official help with a specific model, a repair, a warranty question, or an account problem, use Samsung support directly or visit a Samsung service location.

This site does not review phones, does not compare phone models, and does not report phone news. It does not recommend one Galaxy model over another, and it does not tell readers which phone to buy. The aim is simpler than that: to help the person who already has a Galaxy phone use it with more confidence, one everyday job at a time.

How the tools work

The seven tools on this site run locally, in your own web browser, on your own device. When you type something into a tool, such as a detail about a suspicious message, a passphrase, or an emergency contact name, that information stays in your browser. It is not sent to this site, it is not stored on a server, and it is not shared with anyone else by this site. The one exception is the new-phone setup checklist, which can remember which boxes you ticked by saving that progress in your browser's own local storage, on your own device, so you can come back later. You can clear that saved progress in your browser at any time, and no account is needed.

The tools give general guidance only. A tool result is a starting point, not a final answer about your phone or your safety. If a tool suggests a step and that step does not look right on your phone, stop and check the matching guide, or check Samsung support for your exact model. If you are worried about money, a bank account, or a message that asks for codes or payments, contact your bank directly, using a number you already trust, and do not rely on a tool result alone.

How to use this site

Start from the home page, pick one guide, and follow it slowly. You do not need to read the guides in order, and you do not need to finish a guide in one sitting. If you get stuck, go back one step, or use the Settings search box to find the setting by name. Most guides can be read on the phone itself while you follow along, but if that feels awkward, read the guide on another device, or ask a family member to read the steps aloud while you tap. There is no wrong pace here. The phone will wait, and the steps will still be here when you come back.
